Course Structure

The apprenticeship is organized into 4 modules that together cover everything to build a successful career.

M1 - Personal Productivity

  • Language, and how we talk to ourselves. Taking control and responsibility for our actions.

  • A weekly system - planning work, assigning time, executing in that time, reviewing, and catching the system when it isn’t working

  • Set personal goals, write your constitution. Discover the things that are uniquely and truly important to you, and how to reflect those values in your day to day work.

M2 - Interpersonal Development

  • Learn methods for creating empathy, and learn how to have difficult conversation while increasing the quality of your relationships

  • Learn how to have first-time conversations, how to make asks and offers, how to bring people into your network

  • Creating value requires working with other people in sustainable ways. Learn the art of negotiation and pitching, and practice these skills in real-world scenarios.

  • Find the people whose work you like, who you want to learn from. Figure out how to learn from them, and replicate their success.

  • Create a backlog of the skills you want to learn. Learning is a lifelong endeavor, being organized and thinking long term ensures that you never stop learning.

  • Explore the many different ways to learn, and create your list of the resources you find helpful and relevant.

M3 - Learning Skills

  • Build an operating system of sharing what you’ve learned and done.

    Create visibility into your skills and thought process, and a long-term brand for yourself.

  • Create a board of advisors, mentors, and accountability partners. Learn when and how to ask for help. and how to reciprocate.

  • Applying for jobs is just about the worst part of career building. Learn how to proactively create opportunities even when you are not looking.

  • Understand rules around work visas and how to set yourself up for them, how to build networks in new countries and cities.

M4 - Income and Brand Building

  • Apprentices choose courses based on their goals and interests, though they are strongly urged to complete all basic courses.

  • You may take as many courses as you’d like, though we suggest doing no more than 3 courses at once

  • Everyone is encouraged to choose a professional track to develop foundational knowledge in one field.

About the Founder

Devansh is founder and startup coach. He has worked in Education, Finance, Engineering, Design and Product.

He has advised multiple founders and professionals, and has been thinking and speaking about career building for almost 10 years.

His greatest hope and dream is that others who are ambitious and driven will not have to struggle in their careers with the advantage of early career training and investment.

FAQs

  • How can I know if this course will help me achieve my goals?

    The short answer is you can’t. However with the two-week trial period, you can experience what the program looks like, and make a decision about whether it is right for you.

  • How does the program actually work?

    The first course for everyone is execution.

    We lay out a weekly schedule, including a weekly 1:1 and deep work slots. based on the daily schedule.

    There are 4 works streams for everyone - reading, writing, doing, and sharing, each with an associated metric.

    There are 15 work blocks a week, and before each week we plan what you will do in each block.

  • Will this course help me get a job?

    There are course specifically catering to applying for jobs, and those looking for immediate employment can choose them.

    The goal of this course however is to make not only get but succeed at jobs, and set yourself up to become forever employable.

    There are also paid positions available at Human Insight Ventures at the end of your apprenticeship period.

  • What if I don’t like the program?

    You may withdraw anytime before the end of the second week, and receive a 90% percent refund.

  • How do you select participants?

    The first step of the process is a call, after which we ask for a short written application.
    We are looking for people who are curious, driven, and ambitious.

    We look for evidence of proactive effort, learning, and a desire to leave an extraordinary mark on the world.

    We don’t care about which university you got into, your grades, or your current skill set.

  • Is this program only for people interested in tech?

    We are currently looking for people who want to work in a tech adjacent field - engineering, product, design, marketing, sales, because this is the kind of hands on work we are able to offer people.

    If you think you do not fall into these fields, we would be happy to have a chat and see if the program might work for you.

  • I am ready to start a company, is this program for me?

    Absolutely! We are excited to work with people who are ready to start their own ventures, and will provide the coaching and support we believe is essential for entrepreneurs.

  • What is the time commitment for this program?

    This is a full time program, including evenings. We have breaks and exercise built in, to ensure the cadence you develop here is sustainable through the program, and beyond.

  • What certifications will I receive?

    Everyone who completes the program will receive a certificate including courses taken, and outcome achieved.

    Those that complete real world tasks, which is part of the programming, will also receive an internship certificate.

  • Is it in person on remote?

    This course is remote, with daily meetings as outlined in the schedule. We will try to meet once before graduating, based on people’s availability.
